  • The Übermilk quickly heats up the milk to a chosen temperature and produces consistently foamed milk through a micron-perforated filtration unit. The foam is highly stable and due to the lack of water integration, the milk is creamy and silky. The coffee and milk drink does not degrade in the same way due to the increased stability of the fat proteins in the milk.

  • The unit needs cleaning at the end of every shift. It’s a very important process to prevent old milk build up. The thing that goes wrong in the machine is generally a result of build up from skipping cleaning. The manager can track the cleaning via the cleaning journal. This logs every time the cleaning cycle is done.

Cleaning is pretty simple, it’s semi automatic and the screen guides you through. The process takes about 25 minutes, but is hands off for most of it.

  • The current Übermilk model only works with dairy milk, however there is a multi-milk model coming early 2024.

Using critical path thinking can help streamline the daily processes in spite of being only able to do one type of milk. For example, you have an oat latte and a dairy flat white on your cheque, placing your jug under the Übermilk whilst manually steaming the oat drink will mean that you have both milks ready at the same time and can therefore consecutively pour or pass the jug along to the runner to pour at the same time.

  • When integrating the Übermilk into an existing coffee bar you do not need to cut holes into the counter or plumb the machine in any way, the same hole used for the coffee machine waste pipe can be used here too. It is important to have the Übermilk at least 1m away from a standard 13 Amp plug and since the milk pipe is at most 1.8m, is it important to bear this in mind when placing your fridge as you do not want to kink the pipe. The dimensions of the Übermilk make it easy to be placed on most bars, however it is advisable to have a bar depth of at least 60cm, leaving a 10cm space in front and to the sides of the Übermilk as this will allow for optimal workflow.

  • Using automation to improve shop workflow is definitely something the industry is starting to integrate more readily. As cafe’s prices rise in order for them to combat the increase in costs, it is important to concentrate on optimising their workflow. Consistent quality will become the key to consumer satisfaction as well as quicker and friendlier service. Übermilk will help with all of these factors.
